On deciding this I realised that Topaz only has a bed and her drawers. The room she is going into is HUGE!!
I've picked up some book shelves and a little set of drawers off trade me, and now I need to paint them ready for her new room.
The base colour will be white with colour accents.
Today I started on the set of drawers.
Here's how I bought them.
I'm going to paint them white, change the knobs, take two of the draws out, add a shelf at the bottom and add a pop of colour ... Somewhere...

I can't go much further right now as I have no more spray paint. But I can do some sanding inside the drawers from taking the runners out.
While looking on Pinterest I saw a post about turning a garden basket into a storage container for a kids room. So I've started painting one white. Not sure where or what will go in this yet but it's looking pretty great in white.
It's been a couple of weeks now but due to cold, wet weather I haven't been able to do much. Here's where we sit right now...
I've got one more coat of white to do, attach the bottom shelf and find the perfect draw handle, then I'm finished and I'll be onto the next project
